Types of Rhinoplasty

Open Rhinoplasty

This is a rhinoplasty approach where a small bridging incision is made through the columella, which connects the inside nasal incisions. The incision outside the nose is very small and barely noticeable within 2 to 3 months after surgery. This approach helps surgeons to have a comprehensive idea about the nasal anatomy and to correct the issues with precision. It has revolutionized the modern nose job to address complex nose problems.

Closed Rhinoplasty

This is another approach in which all the rhinoplasty incisions are performed inside the nose. This closed approach is preferable when addressing dorsum of the nose issues, as well as for treating less complex issues. The type of the approach must be carefully selected on an individual basis based on the type of problem getting addressed during surgery.
